Error description
Abstract: Attempts to select the WebSphere adapter for SAP software version 6.2.0.4 with transaction support to generate J2C bean fail with an error. Problem: Perform the following steps: Select J2C-?J2C bean Select the WebSphere adapter for SAP software version 6.2.0.4 with transaction support. In the adapter style page, select outbound, press next button. This action causes error dialog to display showing the following: Unsupported resource adapter: the deployment descriptor ra.xml is missing or it contains incomplete meta-data, for example, an unsupported enterprise information system type or version. A NoClassDefFoundError error is output to the error log.
Problem conclusion
The classpath was updated to include jar files from the WebSphere Application Server runtime when the WebSphere Application Server stub is not installed. This issue is fixed in Rational Application Developer v8.0.4.1.
